The farm
T

he Baumannhof has been owned by the Baumgartner/Mair family for over 200 years and after Amalie’s marriage, the eldest daughter, the family name changed to Höller. History shows that the farmhouse dates back to the 17th century and used to be a court house. This can still be seen today in the vaults in the cellar. In the past, various types of grain and wine were grown on the farm. Gradually, the entire area of the farm was converted to viticulture. The southern location is ideal for growing grapes.

In the meantime we cultivate different grape varieties such as Pinot Gris, Pinot Blanc, Müller-Thurgau, Gewürztraminer and Vernatsch. Most of the wine is delivered to the winery in Bolzano, and we cellar some of it ourselves for our guests in the Buschenschank.
